The Trip to Athlone presents James, Daniel, and Joseph McDonald playing and singing a collection of traditional Irish tunes and songs.

The boys performed many of these selections at the May 2012 Mid-Atlantic Fleadh (Irish music competition), where they qualified to compete at the August 2012 All-Ireland Fleadh. They recorded this CD to help raise the funds needed to go to Ireland for that contest.
